Due to a technical error, the media that we recorded last Wednesday wasn't actually recorded, so today, Monday 3rd of April, we're going into town to reshot the scenes downtown with Aneurin and Conor. Both boys are available to redo our shots and at least this time Conor can bring a whole costume instead of just his shirt. The weather will be sort of the same, and we'll be able to use the same location. We need to remember to get some establishing shots of City Hall too.

The god-awful weather |
So, we redid our filming yesterday, in the same space as last time, but it was really miserable weather, and started to rain. The last time we filmed, it started to rain lightly, but then died off, so we decided to wait it out and just start filming anyway.
But, Mother Nature wasn't on our side, and the rain only got worse. We tried to film anyway, but things were getting very cold and very wet very fast, and our actors were getting soaked, even if we kept an umbrella over them between
shots. We improvised in the end, adding in a quick line from Jay commenting on the rain, and both of the boys agreeing to get some shelter. We changed locations to the shelter directly in front of the City Hall's door.
At first, I was worried it wouldn't be bright enough, but the shots actually looked quite nice, and still matched our initial colour scheme. Conor and Aneurin were very helpful, patient and professional, so I went to the shop across the road and bought sweets to say thank you.
Jane wasn't with us for this filming, she had other commitments outside of school.

Re-location |
It wasn't easy, rearranging our filming dates again, with a much tighter deadline, and it certainly wasn't easy asking the boys to come out and do it again with us. We're very lucky, and grateful, that they were both very understanding and didn't mind doing it again.

Tomorrow, on Wednesday 5th April, we'll be shooting the opening shots of our film at my house, as well as getting some establishing shots of my street and 'Jay' waiting at the train station. There'll be no dialogue and there aren't as many shots to take, so it should be less stressful, and not take as long either.
Both of the boys will be reminded to bring their costumes with them, keeping to the red and blue colour scheme we set them. We understand the importance of consistency in this task, and want to maintain it.
So far, we've had more set backs then originally planned (which, granted, was none) but we've dealt with them as they've came and and hopefully there wouldn't be any more before this is over.
