Title: Mia Famiglia

Characters: Tony Carbone, Bugsy and Emily Woods

Emily walks down a hallway carrying papers with Bugsy by her side

Bugsy: This interview has been a long time comin'.

Emily: Time to put that- joik. Behind bars.

Bugsy: Good luck, I'll be watching from the camera.

Emily comes into the room, looking across at a Mr. Tony Carbone, who is sitting with handcuffs in a bare room, she closes the door behind her and goes to sit in the chair across from Mr. Carbone, setting her files onto the desk after straightening them.

Emily: So, Mr. Carbone? My name is Emily Wood of the NYPD.

Tony: Mr. Carbone is my father, I'm Tony Carbone.

Emily: Okay, Anthony-

Tony: Only Mama Carbone calls me Anthony, you bringing Mama Carbone into this?

Emily: Of course not, this is between me and you, this is a professional investigation, Mr Carbone.

Emily: presses the recording device The date is the 30th of September in the year 2016. This recording will be used as evidence in an up and coming trial regarding the Carbone family drug cartel that occurred on the 27th of September.

Emily whips out a snack bar and opens it.

Carbone looks confused

Emily doesn't break eye contact and takes a bite from the bar.

Emily: So, Tony, what are you gonna do? Your whole family gave you up, sang like canaries.

Tony: Listen here, pig, the police ain't run this town for 50 years, mia famiglia run this town now, you're not gonna wear me down.

Emily: slams hands on table That's a lot of bologna, Tony Carbone- the police got this case wrapped like a present of Christmas Eve.

Tony: slams hands on table Are you callin' me a liar?

Emily: I ain't callin' you a truther!

Emily: We have evidence- security evidence of you with a submachine gun, Mr Carbone and 2000 pounds of 'The Good Stuff'. 2 witnesses to back it up!

Tony: Witnesses? Snitches get stitches!

Emily: They are under witness protection Mr. Carbone.

Tony: I'll find them! I'll find the rats just like I found them last time.

Emily: So you confess!

Tony: No... What, did I say last time? I said... best mime... zesty lime!

Emily: checks her phone We're out of time.

Bugsy: opens the door and sticks head in You have another interrogation, Miss Wood.

Emily: Time for my appointment with Mama Carbone

Tony: jumps up and yells You leave my Mama out of this!

The movie I'll be analyzing today is The Importance of Being Earnest (2002) directed by Oliver Parker. I felt like this was the best movie to start off with seeing as we're building our own one off of the story. This movie won the Nastro d'Argento for Best Costume Design, so I'm hoping to pick up some good tips and inspiration for our own short film. EARNEST - Day 2 of filming

Due to a technical error, the media that we recorded last Wednesday wasn't actually recorded, so today, Monday 3rd of April, we're going into town to reshot the scenes downtown with Aneurin and Conor. Both boys are available to redo our shots and at least this time Conor can bring a whole costume instead of just his shirt. The weather will be sort of the same, and we'll be able to use the same location.
